What about making the launch preparations auto refresh or with a button.
Now, if you want to do a launch with a few friends, you can only see the progression if you step out and go back in or if you add something yourself. You can't see if someone else joins and if you want to add, you might add too much because you can't see how much is needed.

It does auto-fresh in iOS at least. Maybe every few minutes?

It would be used extensively during QL parties and Alliance launches. On iOS you still need to keep closing and opening the window to refresh. It would be useful to repel highjackers.

it is a very usefull. Maybe a general refresh button (with saving) will be a thing solving this problem.
