General Sleeping neighbors

Hi all!
What are your preferred strategy for non active players (and off-forum also)?
What are the odds they "wake up" again?
I'm new to the forum and i think all my friends are off-forum, but a lot of them (about half of them) are sleeping. Some of them were quite nice when they were active, visiting my airport and sending gifts. But i'm tempted to delete them all, as i don't know whether they have quitted the game for good or not.

Accounts go to sleep after 7 days. One of the greatest benefits of this forum, apart from the massive knowledge base, is the community spirit to help other players achieve their goals. A detailed sig listing your gifting ability and a good list of your needs ( be specific, not just "town hall level 11") will accelerate your game greatly. Put lots of info in there, flight items, repair items and building items. Plan ahead and even list future upgrade items. The variety more you list, the better the ability of others to give you what you need ;). Also, keep it updated... if you have listed that you need 4 laptops and I send you 3, if I look again in a few days time and see you still need 4? I'll stop sending. Personally, I actually put a "last updated" message on mine to let people know it's current info.

A slight diversion from the question, though... the problem with non forum neighbours is the lack of ability to communicate. Unwanted gifts become a nuisance (once you use the sigs effectively, you'll work that out very quickly) and if you are launching rockets, you never know what your neighbours intentions are. Help you out? Hijack the launch? They're not quite sure what to do either :).

When I get sleeping neighbours, I note the date and allow 4 weeks. After that - delete. Once I started using this forum, I actually wanted to delete all non forum members but old loyalties stopped me. Hijackers, gift wasters and sleeping accounts slowly got removed and then GI randomly crashed my game and I lost all 250 neighbours. Even if I wanted my old neighbours back, I didn't have their codes! Now I'm 100% forum members only- but only members with a sig. and if they've joined briefly and not long after left (you can see their last time on the forum) or the communication is non existent then I slowly remove them as well (if they're not regular visitors here, they wouldn't notice anyway ;) ).

Hope that helps? Cheers! (y)

Great advice @Bob69bob

Very nice post, @Bob69bob! I know I'll have to improve my signature, but at the moment, I have a "stupid" difficulty: when I downloaded the game from AppStore, I got the PT version. So, I'm having some trouble getting the exact EN translation for many items . Sometimes I look for the picture in airport city wiki and then write down the respective EN name... a loooooooong process.
But then again, reading the posts on this forum, specially all your signatures, is going to speed up this process!
