Have been playing airport city almost a year. Yesterday evening I was on level 40, this morning on level 36. I was on this level and situation over a month ago. What happened?

Continued playing yesterday so, that was on level 37, 1/4 on the way to level 38. This morning again on level 36. Sorry guys, I put my airport on hold for a while :(.
