rearrange city

I want to rearrange the city side of my airport and try to get a multistory in, however I don't have enough free space to shuffle buildings around. Is there a way to temporally store items?

Anybody any ideas?

Sell ur cheapest buildings, and start moving everything around.

Or remove all your roads and use that space. Those are free to build and is what I do if I need to shuffle buildings around.

Not anymore, I had to rebuy all the damn jumbo jets when I sold them off originally to fly to the cities for the previous challenge.
