Population Question?

Apologies as I am sure this question has been asked before but can’t find the answer.

Town Hall next level population for me is 1000. As I have bought several buildings my current pop is 903 so the value for 540000 coins looks poor. Before I consider saving for this upgrade, will I only get the 1000 max pop or will I retain the value of the extra buildings and say get around 1100 ish?

Hey! If you click on the population lvl on the top left of the screen you will see exactly what generates your total population number.
To answer your question, the growth from 800 to 1000 refers to your Town Hall, so your total population will grow +200. If it is currently at 903, it will go to 1103.
Try getting a Grand Hotel, it really helps a lot!
