as i dropped my phone in the sea and samsung S3 and salt water dont mix. who would have thought that!

new phone on way(i hope) but guess will need a new account.

That sucks!!! Have you tried to dry it out? Store it in a bowl of rice, that will get the moisture out, but not so sure about the salt...

oven. 60°C. 45 - 120 minutes, then restart phone. maybe even put the phone under running clear, non salted water for a few seconds, when turned off, of course before the oven treatment

You could try rinsing it in deionised/distilled water and then drying it in one of the aforementioned ways as well as this will help remove the salt in there

I heard the drying in rice should take about 2 weeks, so don't pull it out after a few hours I have several friends who dropped their phone in the toilet, river etc and all turned out fine So good luck!
