I thought I had family coming down today, so I did the hospitable thing, I made them a lovely Farmhouse Pie (bit like a bacon and egg pie, but with a few extra ingredients in it), turns out they aren't coming down until the 8th of March. Yes I can slice it up, wrap it in food wrap and store it in the freezer, it will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months, but it's not the same as fresh made. So here's a piece of pie (with Watties Tomato Sauce), for anyone that would like a bit :)

Try the Chinese made Lao Gan Ma spicy sauce, if you're not afraid of the spicy taste

I'm a "foodie" I'm not afraid of spicy or hot :) I loved cooking so much I made a career out of it. Getting sauces made in other countries in a small country town in New Zealand (where there is only one supermarket) is a bit difficult, but I will look out for it :)

You can make your own chili crisp version (recipe is online). But it makes me happy to see the Godmother looking at me (in a possibly disapproving way :D ).

Getting about is a little bit difficult for me these days, the only thing I drive is a mobility scooter, and unfortunately (for safety reasons) they don't allow them on the highway :ROFLMAO: probably scared I'll run over someone, so I am limited to just my local store.

Now I am hungry. Probably going to make this recipe tonight or tomorrow. I am missing the cilantro and I have to sub tamari for the soy sauces (no gluten for me), but close enough.

Thank you so much :)

On investigation, turns out I can buy it at my local store. Next time I'm over there I'm going to get a jar of it :) thank you
This chili sauce does have a unique taste. Many people like it (residents of Chinese Mainland and overseas countries),
but I am allergic to spicy food and seafood, so I can't eat it
