There was a little bit of misunderstanding between our dev team and wonderful people who help us with answers on the facebook page.
We never intended to promise an update 'in a few hours', as Windows version is still in QA and we expect it to go live in a few days.

I absolutely agree with @Wired Parrott .

Windows players seem to be singled out as second class citizens.

We don't have the Event, We are stopped from visiting neighbours on other platforms.
We just need to have are gift lists changed and we will have a full set

I am in full agreement with you @Harcourt and @Wired Parrott it is the same every time

I don't think this is the best quest ever. Those who played last year have most items already and have completed it very quickly.
Those with new games have nothing, and so far I have seen very low drop rates. With SG, I got maybe 40% drop rate when visiting neighbours this morning, In Santa's bad mood that was close to 100%. I have very few flowers in my airport, maybe 5 max and when they have gone it takes some time for them to 'grow'. Also the drop rate from them is low.
Anybody else feel the same?

One improvement wuld be that landing guest planes gave romantic passengers when needed.

Odd...I just got my daily event after I moved up a level. I had even restarted the game a couple times last night.

Now I only have 10 hours to finish it and I can't because I gave all my gifts. I would have been able to do it if I had the full 24 hours.

My drop rates haven't been as bad as the Santa quest. This one I feel like I can complete whereas the rates were so bad with Santa I gave up after a week.

I'll play this event to earn few stars only, not to complete.
It's just like any other event, nothing extraordinary.
Moreover waiting for "few days" on windows is enough to kill the interest.

You should try to complete it because the Reward building is nice and productive.

The Time Gap between player's cannot be filled, Ofcourse those who have played this event in past have some advantage over those who are participating for first time.
Last year,This event was different, It's an older event with new Reward building.

Bear in mind that there are some who never completed before so this is good for those who missed out last time, and for newcomers it is an easier event than Age of Ash for example. The way the game is going seems to be an easy(ish) event to keep newer players happy and to give a new reward building for older players - then a really hard event to keep the old timers like AJ interested ;-) I imagine Age of Ash will return and those who didn't complete will have a good head start on it next time. I

With the delay every single event you need to do one of two things. Either wait until the update goes through windows QA then release to all platforms or change the event timer to a straight countdown clock that is not set to a specific date. Why should windows players lose 2+ days to complete the event? Especially so with the events that have very high increases for fuel needed to destinations. That is not an issue for this event, however players really should not be punished simply for playing on a different platform. Last event windows players had 2 days to fly to destinations using regular fuel amounts before they increased a massive amount. The event was not time dependent meaning players could complete as soon as they finished unlike age of ash which was really the only time dependent event. Lose the time and date for events end and replace with a countdown timer reflecting the true amount of time the event should have to complete.

Totally agree with every thing you said, it is a shame we do not seem to get a reply to questions that we window players would like (and deserve) a answer to

The impossible quests is one of the reasons I stopped playing for a while. Nice to come back to something I've attempted and completed before.

Getting pruning shears yet have nothing to prune --- BUT ----- Gi have pruned some of my valued neighbours. Can visit them but their cities are missing.- just empty spaces.
Appears to be a problem only with windows users - no doubt Gi will make a generous gesture to compensate us!!

Unless G! changed its format of the game, after you have "cut" your flowers go to Madlen and they are back.

@AJ I agree, but when you see posts that it's been completed before you downloaded the upgrade..... I did it a few years ago with my old game so I would have been is the 'done it' group and would have been disappointed to complete in under a day without a challenge or having a stratagy,.
Now I have a new game and have to do everything which is good.

Same here. I was less than one hour from getting my planed back and sending them out again, which would have completed the first quest, when the new one started...and I only have 8 hours to complete it. Game glitch?
