Generally, different devices, or different accounts on devices. Personally, I use a laptop, my desktop, and an android device.

Do you know if anyone has tried different user accounts on the same computer or laptop? And if they did, were different google accounts needed too?

I'm sure they have - different accounts on the same computer, using an android emulator on the computer for android games. It works fine, but beware, they are all against GI's terms of service.

A few years ago me and my partner had 2 accounts, on 2 different profiles in Windows 10 without issue. Each Windows profile was linked to a different email address. I don’t know if this will still work. It is worth noting that no purchases were made via these accounts, so I don’t know if there could be issues here. These games no longer exist as the device has reached the end of its life.
According to the terms of service, you shouldn’t operate more than one game from a device - it is not clear if this still applies to Windows, as these are more commonly shared devices, and with the current setup, and the way they operate, profiles act as separate devices. Perhaps Ivan could offer some guidance.
It is clear why this would be banned on an IOS or Android device, as the operating systems are not designed to be used in this manner - however Windows is a bit more of a grey area. Ultimately by banning more than one account on an operating system that is designed for it could limit GI’s income so they may have a different stance.

@Barkmi4 My grandson wants to start playing. I want to encourage his like of games that build/make things, instead of going around and blowing stuff up and killing. I really do not want an 8 year old working on my current city, he might make me look bad. He has separate accounts for everything. You can imagine what an 8 year old can do to your favorites in Amazon videos and music or my YouTube account. All payment sources are secured through triple verification, so that he cannot get access to my money though.

And, GI would actually be making twice the money. $10 a month for 100+ greenies is not much compared to the cost of some of the things he wants to do. He will keep using my computer though, so that I can virtually look over his shoulder anytime I need to. I mean he is after all only 8.

A PC with WinX will allow you to do it. I know a few people that do it . The least hassle is by setting up separate profiles. Always ensure shutting each profile down before starting the next. Oh, and make sure you take note of the game codes in case something goes amiss.
