Since yesterday stuck because of a violation message. That is caused by some detection of changes in time & date.
Only thing that happened (and is normal for me) is changing the timezone.
But means no access to any online part.
So launch will probably go wrong and no gifting possible.
and not impressed about the supports reply.

Its a fairly well known issue on the boards that any changes made to computer time will flag up as cheating by GI - this shouldn't happen as long as you make sure that Airport City is not open when you change time - I am guessing changing time zone would be seen the same. They have been paranoid about this for sometime as when I joined cheating was very common and well publicised methods were everywhere on line - the last upgrade started to flag up "time travel" - changing time gave people the ability to increase returns by artificially speeding up flights etc. What has been their response so far - I know one other person this happened to recently which suggests that their monitoring is more sensitive than it used to be. Maybe it is picking up on time zone changes when players are not logged into the game - by comparing the current time with the time you last played. This could become difficult for players who travel a lot between time zones. Most of us are supportive of their efforts to eliminate genuine cheating as it was obvious that some players could not be achieving the levels so quickly as they were however they have always in the past rectified the odd false positive results. Do you think you might have had the game open when you changed time zone and have you offered them a reasonable explanation of why changing time zones is "normal" for you

My experience with the time zone changes has been that GI usually takes a day or so to reinstate your privileges. I found the solution was to put my iPad on manual instead of automatic time updates.

I have seen this happen a few times over the past year but as it is happening more frequently which suggests they have tightened up on detection. Are you sure the neighbours all going was not as a result of the upgrade as this happened to almost everyone I know. The thing with time travel used to be that you should never change the time or time zone while the game was open but I am wondering if they are detecting changes between game sessions now.

In general the program always reboots no matter what when I arrive at my other timezone as it doesn't like the switching on/off 'flying mode'.
Now it is even more odd, as it happened yesterday, so when I was already longer here.
I did explain it, but they require a screenshot, and that part isn't working on my smartphone.
Finally I could do it differently so hopefully it will be arranged tomorrow.

I hope they sort it for you soon - I have seen three cases this week which is unusual
