Sorry to my neighbours and Alliance but my main game has been damaged according to an error message I get when trying to start the game. GI has been notified and I hope to have my game restored by tomorrow. I will do my best to make up for gifts received.

GI told me they can help but I had to uninstall the game, download a new one and start over. Get to level 3 and restore. This didn't work so awaiting to hear back.

Is this the message that you got? This is the screen prompt that popped up.

That was one of the screen prompt. Trying to restore it but I got this. Do I need to contact them (which is quite hard) or just re-install and restore at level 3?

uh uh. Unistalled it but seems restore option is for the new game only ( level 3) and not the old one. There is no prompt to choose game id to use..

That is the same message I got.
You will have to contact GI telling them that message.
They will ask you to uninstall the game, get to level 3 and restore- if the restore window comes up (not the one in settings).
If it does not, you need to send them your new game code and they will restore for you.

Once you are at level 3 they will ask you for the new code. Then they will replace that with your old code and restore your game.

Ok. Thanks again. I sent the advice with the new game code and waiting for a restore. Quite unfortunate that they respond so slow. I just hope that it will be restored before the event ends as I have joined it. It is sad that i have already missed 4 days counting from this event and not able to chase the leaders.

Yes, it is unfortunate that it takes time to get your game restored. I was lucky only taking 3 days, some people have said it took them a week.

Support finally replied and advised me to run the game. Unfortunately, the restored game was a mess. All my buildings were missing. Same as level 3 buildings (new code) though my ID code was already the old one. All levels/coins/neighbors were restored but not the buildings/planes/runways/bldg upgrades so joining the event is useless. Sent another advice. Yup, I believe restoration will be longer with the way they handle game issues.
