I am flexible on number of points needed, but normaly i think about 1/5-1/4 of the total points (around 300-400 on a green) is fair for a second or third if it's 4 members of the launch.

PS: If you are worried about highjackers, focus on getting forum members on your friend-list. That reduce the risk of highjackers a lot.
