Red Launch Launched and Hijacked

We're preparing to do a Red Launch, and we'd appreciate some help.
We're going to take 1st place. If anyone wants a certain position please post it here so everyone will know.

1078/3000 21hrs, 45mins remaining, 2nd and 3rd places still available for forum members. I have one neighbor who seems to just want to tag along since he has been on for a few hours and has only put in 96.

Our flight got Hijacked by a "non-forum" neighbor. If anyone knows or sees this person (KyK) - BEWARE!!!!

KYK is now no longer our neighbor. I'm tempted to get rid of all our non-forum neighbors (with a few exceptions of people who play fair.

Unfortunately, that’s a risk you run with random neighbors. That’s why most of us only have forum neighbors. That way, everyone that joins a launch is someone we trust or someone we can communicate with.

Sad but true. I was watching it closely but I had to go check on dinner, and when I came back (about 7 mins) my 1st place was taken and the shuttle launched. Arrrgh

It took me one afternoon, but as I have forum members only, I never got hijacked.
It is worth it.

I run with forum and non-forum neighbours and although I do occasionally get hijacked it’s very rare. I try not to start a launch without the resources to contribute to the whole requirement. If you intend to take first place, be prepared to put in 60% of the total. For green launches that’s 960, blue 1200, and red 1800. I start my launches in private mode until I’ve hit these thresholds, and then I make it public.

I also welcome any low contributor as even at 48, it’s space fuel I don’t have to add myself. Indeed I often join other launches with my small stuff when I’m running low on my big stuff. Placing 10th on any launch still gets you fuel, coins and some collection items for launch boxes.

@A Kryztov here's a simple formula for you to avoid any would be hijackers:

½ total launch points + ½ PEB + 2 (for insurance)

@SkyRider - not really, if someone wants to hijack they will wait till it gets close to completion and then put in PEB taking your 1st place. Ex. - Say you put in 1600 on a Red and someone else has put in 1400. Then, they put in a PEB giving them 1760 and 1st place. The launch doesn't care if the total goes over

No, it is not enough
½ launch points + ½ PEB + 2 points is enough.

As I tried to demonstrate elsewhere, and no one proved me to be wrong, and as long as you get first place ahead of others, half launch + half PEB is enough, those 2 extra aren’t needed

I feel much better when the 2 points are added, because you may never know what G! is up to...☠
