Hi I'm level 50 and in more regular green and blue launches. Is it customary to let the launch organizer take first place, or is it take-and-get-taken?

Thanks.

@Ross Mishkin
Yes, it is customary to let the launch organizer take first place, unless he or she says otherwise in a forum post.
It is considered very rude to overtake the launch organizer ... and, if you do, you could be placed on a "Hijacker" list. This usually means you would be un-neighbored by some players.
Cheers,
Tom

While I'm at it, a golden rule of mine is to never start a launch you cannot complete by yourself if necessary. Yes, this means saving up as much fuel as you can. Unless there's a quest going on, I visit my 20 neighbors who have the most Planetariums.
Cheers,
Tom

Thank you!
Although this is not likely to apply at your level, many players live by the '576 rule'. This is particularly common with red QL launches, where the first player to put 576 has the right to captain. Amongst long term players and forum players, there is an air of etiquette, where priority is given to players with QLs active, and people tend to rotate rather than dominate the top position over and over... when you get to this sort of position, it's best to take a back seat, add little fuel and observe the way things are done, you'll pick it up quickly
