It is worth noting, that whilst painful, I would use coins for land expansion until you cannot anymore.
Land becomes more expensive with every coin purchase, and jumps up a lot in greens as you get bigger. 1 expansion for me is now the equivalent of £5/$5 using the 3x sale, and land expansion sale. You can always make more coins.... there are not many ways to make free green notes.
