by the way, how can we earn more stars to open up the flights ?

To earn more stars, you have to become specialist/master/expert for the destinations you can already fly to. You can see which status you have, when you go to the flights menu. The stars on the picture of the destination tell you what status you have.
1 star = specialist
2 stars = master
3 stars = expert

If you need more stars, start with the destinations that require a shorter flight time. I have experienced the shorter the flight time is, the easier it is to get a higher status. See also this thread for more information.
