iPad Daily Trading Thread for February 2013 (Part 1)

Happy Helen,
My luck has been terrible with flower drops but very good with plush toys and sweets. I changed over to eight Powerful Propeller-driven planes and flew them every 40 minutes. I got enough plush toys from Venice to earn two Merry-go-rounds and am close to number three on flights to Maldives. Perhaps when I place the third the Conservatory will emerge. We'll see.

My flower drop-rate was great.... I only need 3 orchids. (always 1 is hard to get, i have 15 flowers in total)
The plush toys are comming (1-2-0-1-4) 8 in total.... I am flying to 4 destinations
Sweets are very well. I need 3 items in total (the last two items)

When the orchids drop... I think i can finish the challenge on Iphone.... Ipad is a different story.... During the week we can only play for 2 or 3 hours in the evening.... that will be harder.

I'm afraid not. I have four merry go rounds and four chocolate sweets claimed and still no conservatory. I finally got one set of flowers, but only after countless and I mean countless failures trying to get all five flowers.

Posted on another thread by the player who just won the challenge. Reporting here FYI:

I have to admit that I spend some greens on it. Only with buildings, flights and vistiting friends it doesn't go that fast. But I was lucky with the collections. When the mission started I had almost twice the candy collection due to the Romantic Cafe's which I could buy since the space mission. They gave money and sometimes candy which disappeared in the left upper corner. Now I know why. Also at the start I bought 30 scissors (don't know the correct word) for 40 green. More than enough to get 3 times the flower collection(sometimes 2 flowers at once). I know, it is al lot but I remembered the halloween disaster with the old lantarns. A giftbox helped and the Jumbo's sometimes dropped 3 bears/tigers. For me just the right ones.... I told you, lucky with the collections! As the mission was completed, I got 5000 coins and the Garden of Love. I was so excited I immediately (extra 500 coins I believe) placed it in my city and did not notice the needed electricity and how much coins it gives. It is 2x2 and I can collect coins every 4 housr (so in 1 hour I all let you know). After the mission the flights disappear, flowers are gone (at least at my airport) and the Romantic Cafe, Bridal Salon, Sweet Shop an Gazebo's give normal passengers. Strange, because the first 3 are commercial buildings. Also did the Romantic Cafe disappear from the warehouse shop (even as the other buildings but they belonged to this mission).
greensmith: indeed no Conservatory at the end, I would love to have one!
Update: the Garden of Love gives 90 coins each 4 ours, the romantic buildings the same amount of normal passengers in the same time as they give RP's in the mission and not all flights are gone. I can still fly to Riviera but... only with RP's which I now only can buy with greens. I thought not.....

So it looks like another screw-up by GI: lots of mentions of items dropping from a Conservatory but no actual Conservatory. Perhaps it was a drop from those imaginary flights to Barcelona and Las Vegas. Ha!

Thank you so much for that post. I was concerned about losing the flight destinations. I plan to keep going until the last possible second in order to make as many flights as I can.

As far as I know the usernames are case sensitivity - also for you to add my android game you will need to use the friend code (sorry pointing the obvious) - just added you to both my games...

When I typed it in on my IPad it didn't connect the two names. When I just tried it on my Android phone, it removed the space making it one word. Without the space between the two names it didn't go through. I tried three times to force a space between the two names and it wouldn't let me do it.

PS. On another subject. I finally found a limit to the number of neighbors I can have. It's 500. I think 400+ of my neighbors are no longer playing the game any longer, but with so many usernames, I can't start removing neighbors. This morning I removed two Russian neighbors in order to get below 500 to invite the new neighbors.

thanks pal - I thought as much so only choice I have is for either Happy Helen to add my TDV4 game or for her to change the username with out any space (which is more of pain for just one neighbour)

Yes I hit that 500 limit sometime back... just have to try to look for people who you think are not playing anymore.. lot harder than you think with the username and level not updating properly... some are showing level 6 but they have upgraded runways and hangers (so they are lot higher than the game is telling me)...

amazing some of the "daily players" seem to disappear... no message etc...

I would imagine that we will soon see this event on the Android version, and since they have already had this event and the bonus gift was the Conservatory, they are giving the "Garden of Love" out this year. So the iOS games will not receive the Conservatory....but that's just my guess.

I think they just left the items that dropped from the Conservatory since people already have them and it gave us another building to click on to complete our mission/collections.

Well, I have all necessary items needed to finish this challenge, so I am now just working on the flights. I don't know whether I will have enough time to get through all the flights, but I plan on trying. The only thing I will need, if I get to the jumbos are Oscillating Beacons. I will be happy to send shears to everyone, but if you see my Boeing 777 avatar, I wouldn't mind oscillating beacons in return. Don't worry if this is too complicated, I will be happy to get shears in return if you can't figure out who is who.

Under the comment box that you type in are three buttons: Post Reply / Upload a File / More Options....
Tap the Upload a File button and you will get a box like this;

Choose a photo from your photo album and it inserts automatically. You can choose Thumbnail (which is too small to do much good) or Full (which is too large). Would be great if the forum guides would offer a mid-size.
