Improved Auto Collect System (Coins, Passengers, Items)

So I know that there is the Auto Collect feature at the Alliance Shop. At first, it was very enticing to me, so I decided to get a bank branch and see how it works. It costs 20 gold tokens and 200 silver tokens I believe...a worthy sacrifice if the Auto Collect was permanent. Imagine my surprise when it was a contract for a limited amount of time, and it costs even more gold and silver tokens for those contracts! My dreams were crushed; I was highly disappointed. With gold tokens being so valuable, nobody would invest in this. However, I think if it got a overhaul, it may be more enticing. Here are some suggestions:
1) Let the initial cost be in greenies instead of tokens. Some price suggestions:
10 greenies for one range around 3x3 facility
50 greenies for 5 range around 3x3 facility
100 greenies for 10 range around 3x3 facility
If greenies isn't favored, then replace the greenies with gold tokens. Still worth it so long as the auto collect is permanent.
Even if it's an event that is offered every 12 to 18 months, it still would be worth doing.
2)Get rid of the contracts. Let it be permanent for the range....no questions asked. (if it costs gold tokens)
If it's greenies, then let it cost 10% of what the facility auto collects. In terms of pax and items, let it be 1000 coins for every 100 pax auto collected, and 1000 for every item collected each day. (thank you @Blue Jay and @volly )
3)Have one facility for coins, one for passengers, and the other for items.

The way that the facility is costly is in terms of the initial cost and the space that it takes up. I think it would be an amazing addition.

I know, right. I wish I had read this post before I invested wasted 20 gold on a bank branch. Why on earth would anyone want to spend tokens for an HOUR of auto collect? It's a sad sad shame that this game isn't up front about things and how they work. It didn't say "allows you to auto-collect for limited periods of time". Like you, I'm thinking "Yeah! Worked to get all these gold tokens and the payoff will be placing a bank branch in the middle of my bowling alleys so that the income is collected 24/7.

I guess I should have known better given the history of this game. No point in suggesting changes. They'd never do such a thing.

But I can at least ease the pain by staring at my Duty Free shop, stuck forever on my tarmac.

I agree with 99.9% of what you said. However, based on Ivan commenting in the "Greener Pastures" thread, it looks like there may be some changes coming in regards to the auto collect options. I think they might have realized how ridiculous the current settings are. I'm hoping Ivan read the comments here (I shared the link with him last week) and add it to their brainstorm of ideas of improvement. I'm actually optimistic about it.

One can only hope... for now, seems a senseless endeavor, but perhaps when they thought of it, it was easier to get gold tokens. -t
Yeah I'm not sure what they were thinking to be honest. I couldn't believe it when I saw it either. The idea of contracts annoys me, but if you're going that route, let the price of the contract be something that the player can obtain in everyday gameplay. If you're going to charge so much for the initial price, then at least make it a bit worthwhile in cost when it comes to maintenance

@Navigata07 you are undoubtedly right to suggest that GIS use comments on this forum to adjust the gameplay. They must have realised how ridiculously generous planetariums were and reduced their output during neighbour visits; and now they must have cottoned on to how many of us exclusively visit neighbours for space items - the drop rate of PEB, MS and LFT's from launch boxes has reduced from 1 good for every 5 rubbish item during last year, to a ratio of 1 good item for every 15 rubbish items this year. I seem to be relying on the Duke a lot more for PEB and MS this year! :greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy:

Oh no doubt they check into the forum to see what's going on. Things like helicopters were mentioned in here ages ago, and added last year. Unfortunately, it appears like more things have gone against us instead of for us the players. Planetariums is one, the 100 item limit may have been the biggest thing. So many players left after that was passed. Im just hoping they really do improve the auto-collect. I dont think people realize how revolutionary it could be, but I will keep that secret to myself

The very core of this game is wait-to-click, anything that clicks automatically is simply counterproductive. If you keep going that path, eventually you're reach the point "pay enough and you won't even have to launch the game ever again". It's only natural GI threads lightly here.

The very core of this game is wait-to-click, anything that clicks automatically is simply counterproductive. If you keep going that path, eventually you're reach the point "pay enough and you won't even have to launch the game ever again". It's only natural GI threads lightly here.
But remember that the auto collect is limited in range. Even if some buildings are auto collected, there are still others that would need to be clicked. Also, you still have to fly and collect from flights, so it would never disappear. I think theyre thinking along the same lines as you though

Planes are red herring : P. Ultimately, you get all collection-yielding buildings and clicking them once every 24h does almost everything. You get collections, you get xp, you get coins. Alliance tasks made planes useful again for the most pumped up players.

Yeah Ive noticed that most players rely more on having tons of adventure buildings to do the collecting than actually flying.
