Hi All,

I don't know what to do with my game.. :)

Have been playing this game now for some month or so. Really like it.

How does my city looks like:
Level: 31, almost 32
Stars: 48
7 city land properties, 7 airport land properties
Townhall: lvl 3
Control tower: lvl 3
Terminal: lvl 5
Hangars: 5
Runways: 1x lvl 4, 1x lvl 5
Airplanes: 2x turboprop, 3x jet
Repair shop: lvl 3
Mission control: lvl 1
space fuel station
Stupid duty free shop, does not bring me any money yet
weird zeppelin landing spot
and ofcourse many other residential and commercial buildings

But what should I give my priorities now. Bigger airplanes, space program, anything else? I have no real clue what to do now?
- Bigger airplanes means: upgrade repair center and build catering facility (= another expensive building)
- Space program means: build Launch tower and what else is needed

What is beneficial to get more income to build more expensive buildings and is a nice addition to my gameplay. I already had to save a lot of money for runway lvl 5.

Hope some more experienced players can give me some advice/tips?

When I started playing, my initial goal was to "finish" every destination. By "finishing" I mean getting 3 stars, and a collection if the destination drops one.
So I got all planes of one type, flew to the destinations one by one. When no more was available for a given type of plane, then I sold all and bought all next ones. As Town Hall, Terminal and Control Tower are pretty much tied to one destination per plane type, those structures came as well. That was over a year ago, and I'm currently at Jumbos, still 4 types of planes ahead of me. Works for me, YMMV.

Yes, space program is fun. But what you actually need is 12 neighbors with 5 Planetariums (or Training Centers) each. Start with that and visit those every day. This is basically what everyone needs but it takes months to realize.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick answer.
Going to do that also, 3 star all destinations. For the Turboprop I only need to do Polarstation and last star of San Francisco. For Jets some more need to be done. So finish up those Turborprops and replace them by jets, will wait with the Delta planes for now.
Glad I already got a runway on level 5 so I can land the quest planes which are from my level. And now have plenty of time before the next runway level (= lv 51) is needed.

Am already saving up collections for Space program by visiting those planetariums, just in case :) Have not yet some 5 Planetarium-friends.

Any more tips are always welcome?

While you've got the T/props top up on landing lamps by doing Turkish coast..
There is a post, updated yesterday I think, that lists people with lots of Planetariums. They have very good drop rates.

ok, thanks for the feedback.
I will top up on landing lamps. I need them anyway for flying still to the Polar Station with the turboprops. Are Landing Lamps so important in the higher destinations also?
So is it wise to keep a Turbo Prop available to get them very easily?

Regards,

Landing lamps aren't used for bigger aeroplanes but there's always challenges coming on where you need them. Lots of good maps need them. As you get further along, you'll have a lot more coins, so buying them and selling them won't hurt so much either.

Just kidding, @DlFl .

You happened to stumble upon the best community for Airport City on the whole interwebs!

Stick around, familiarize yourself with the threads and put up your sig. :)

The crappiest job in the world must be moderator for the real Game Insight AC forum. Every day coming to work knowing there's a group of guys somewhere doing the same thing, for more users, on a website that's only a gazillion times better...

I'll add you to Big Wasted later today. Planetariums galore! (y)

Great topic, thanks for sharing all this info guys! I'm a bit further in the game than Difi (level 51 now), but still lots of work to do in my city!

I think my game progress in terms of flights has gotten a bit ahead of the size and capabilities of my airport (took some time before I found this forum and hence the must-know tips and the very welcome greenies for land expansions). Currently struggling to build sufficient flight catering facilities (and to find the space for it...), after this will save money for the MCC and red pad...

Anyways, my question: I'm close to finishing up stars for all jet flights. Already have 2 delta's and 2 powerful delta's. Delta's are still flying to non-flight catering destinations since I don't have sufficient stock (working on expanding my production, was lacking space earlier). So I'm wondering what to do once I'm finished with the jet destinations. I can either sell my jets and buy delta's, or first use my jets for excavation destinations. I already have a couple of maps from flights to mesoamerica and ancient rome, but hesitant to actually start flying these destinations since I'm low on bonuses (only 1 sky captain and a secret faucet, no dice).

Any thoughts? Much appreciated!

My two cents worth... don't rush into the deltas and powerful deltas if you don't have the resources to keep up with the flights. Start with what you have and monitor how it goes. You can always buy another delta and monitor for a couple of days. When I have found I cant keep up with resource demand, I switch out briefly to do other needed tasks. (I was running 2 jumbos, 2 PD, 5 Deltas, 1 Jet. I have 6 turbo props in the hangar) I've finished all normal flights through to the end of the deltas and about half way through PDs and slowly trickling through Jumbos.

I was in about your position only around 3 months ago. I want to dump my deltas, but there a a couple of maps that need to be done before I do that. They're currently sitting idle in the hangar. My 6 turbo props are running 90% to Turkish Coast to collect Landing Lamps. As you read through these forums, you'll realise you need 100s of them down the track. Start collecting in idle times. 10% of the time I send them to Cape Canaveral to stockpile green and blue launch prep items. I use the jet to do the same going to Baikonur ( I don't really need the jet ATM but it comes in handy when quests pop up). You can send the jet to Nth Observatory and deltas to Sth Observatory, but those destinations also drop red prep items and reduce your % for green and blue. You'll get all your red prep items from planetariums so I wouldn't bother too much with observatories.

Obviously you don't have anywhere near that number of aircraft at the moment, but that should give you an idea of tasks to think about as you step up through the aircraft types. Don't rush, don't buy too many larger aircraft before you have the resources to fly them. Keep a balance and use the lag time to prepare for what's coming.

Another important point: most major buildings require items to complete them once you have spent the coins. Use these forums to communicate with others to trade and get all of the items needed BEFORE you spend the coins. There is a link to WIKI down at the bottom of this page on the right hand side. It is one of the most useful tools you will have in this game. It has all the information you need regarding what you need, how many and where to get them.

Long winded, but I hope that gives you a good start :)

Happy flying and before you know it, happy launching. (By the way, don't buy green and blue launch pads. Save to upgrade MCC to level 3 and buy the red one first. It's a drag, but you will progress 10x faster. Once you have red, money will pour out for everything else you need. Be patient!).

Thanks for all these thoughts of advice, this is great! And it makes sense! Was already sending my single turbo prop to Turkish coast for lamps, sounds like it's wise to continue and grow these kind of preparations. I guess it can be hard to keep being that patient, but will do my best ;) Like you say you have to make sure you have sufficient resources to keep sending out bigger planes.

I already have a green launch pad (only found the forum after I already built it lol), but will indeed skip blue and go for red.

So just out of curiosity: when would be the moment to start thinking about excavation and other map type of flights? Cause it would probably mean I need to switch back to the smaller planes at a later stage...

You'll need the maps, enough fuel and enough flight/repair resources (check the wikia) to do excavations. Every time you have to sell planes to upgrade to another type is a good moment to do it...

I have started doing a few recently. This forum has so much information to absorb, I would try to learn as much detail as possible over the never couple of months by reading all the threads in here and then have a go. There are many ways to attack the maps. You can take it slowly over a longer period of time or gather resources and wage an all out battle in one sitting with one map. Again, read the threads and get a better idea of what suits you :)
