iOS how to transfor the old game progress to a new iphone

I had a xs iphone, log out my apple id and login on my new iphone 12, download the game and sign with my game center, the game progress on my old xs could not read on my new iphone 12
pls help

Dont open your old game anymore.

play your new game to lv.4, the game should ask you which profile to choose.

if not, play to lv.5. If it’s already lv.8 and no prompt to restore your old game, I’d suggest to contact GI support.

The most important thing is that your GameCentre ID on your new device is the same as your old one.

@Barkmi4 (Mike) did this recently and described it happening 'automagically' with no problems; I assume he did the iPhone transfer via screen image linking. Is this the way you set up your new phone? I am thinking of upgrading as well

I transfered recently my game from an old iPad to a new iPad - both same Apple-ID, and on the new one I took the data from the Backup from iCloud as my old iPad didn't supported the direct transfer. You can then directly start the game from the safe /transfer point on without any problems.
Just remember, once you've opened the game on the new device NEVER open it again on the old one.
