How To avoid time traveler

Many of you on this forum get nailed by the time traveler. So here's how I avoid time traveler during space launches. After you add an Item like: solid fuel, explosive bolts ect., you should wait 6 sec. after the count down runs out to add more items

I always saw this glitch as a hiccup in time:
Launching my (first two) games, side by side ( with both devices showing the same time,) sometimes one device will show that a fuel item can be reused, while the other tablet shows perhaps a half a minute left to go. If I hit it, I'll get a time-traveler warning.

In the particular instance I related above- adding fuel during a launch- I think the game somehow corrects itself and nothing more happens.
Other times -maybe twice- that I've had the warning, Bad Things did happen. (You can't send/receive gifts, World Map is off-limits, I'm not sure of what all you can't do, but the upshot is you can't play.)
Both times, I quickly shut down my device, and when I reopened it, everything was seemingly back to normal-except all my tokens were gone. So now I keep my tokens in their chests till I need them, and I am more careful to exit the game when I'm done.

Exactly, standard ban on online activities. There are no other kinds of bans in this game AFAIK.

I find that six seconds is not long enough, some times particularly when adding small items I keep getting the time traveler message for up to 4 or 5 minutes after the timer runs out.
