How do u make a new runway

I was wondering how you make a new runway

Just press the shopping cart item on the bottom (there you can buy new stuff) and go to the tower-item (airport buildings).
ther you can buy a new runway

Do not forget they also require electricity, more land on the airport side as well. It is often necessary to sell your current runway first before you upgrade.
Note runways only go in one direction, you cannot turn them sideways.

Only if you have one runway.
If you have more than one runway of sufficient level you can sell the other one.
