Getting the game progress to another platform

Hello Free2Play

I have a question. Will it be possible in the near future to get the game progress you made on one platform to another? Like when you switch from iOS or Windows(Phone) to Android and so on?

Since my WindowsPhone is finally dying and there are no real new WindowsPhones available I'm forced to use another platform. But if I do so I'll lose all my progress and start from 0 again.
After investing about of 2 years and a bit of money in the game it would be really hard to motivate myself to invest any time or money in the game again.

From what I've heard so far it might be possible to get the progress from my WindowsPhone to a WindowsPC, but that's not the same since I won't be able to play anywhere but at home.
With cross-platform visits and gifting being available for quite some time now why isn't transferring the game progress?

And since the support is always non-specific on this topic I'd like to ask you if you could please tell us if you're working on it and if so, when we can expect this feature.

We don't plan to do "constant" sync between different platforms — that would require always-on Internet connection, and that's not what majority of Airport City players want.

Those are fantatsic news.
But strange, when I asked the German support last week if it would be possible to take my game from WindowsPhone to Android or iOS they said strictly NO.

Once I get my next phone, hopefully before xmas, I'll try the support again and quote you on this.

It's probably the one where they transfer your funds, level and stars to a new game on the other device. And then go back and forth for ages to get bonuses, special buildings, etc., etc....
Not new, but a lot of red tape.

But, if it's a new one, yeah, progress!

The point is they don't transfer anything in such case, so you lose all special buildings.

they can but they won't. Due to their refund policy I lost huge amounts of collections, items, maps, space chests, space fuel, QLs...

you have a nice idea unfortunately they cannot see what amount of greenies/gold you have purchased in the past. As evidenced by past requests that yuou provide receipts for money spent.

I believe that Airport City game does not keep an accurate record of whom spent what because several different companies/accounts are involved.

I contacted the support yesterday quoting you and they said they'll check it and at about noon today I got a mail from the support saying they uploaded my save game and I should start the game on the new phone. The game froze for about five seconds (which felt like an eternity) and then there it was. The save game state was from about 1 hour prior so I didn't lose much. The only negative thing is that I lost my whole neighbour list. But most of them I can hopefully get back.
Nonetheless I'm so happy right now.

Hey! You switched to which platform? I'm on Windowsphone and I also wanna switch to the other OS. Mine is Nokia Lumia 1020 with WP 8.1. And I'm afraid this will not get GI support in a long run.
Most probably I'll switch to Android.

Btw. Today GI even transferred my old neighbour list from WP to Android. I could have saved a lot of time and trouble if I just would have been more patient.

Guys, I'm stuck with my Surface running under Win 8.1RT. Wrote to support my request about transfer to Android, GI support replied that they can't. Is anyone knows the magic word?
