Game Transfer midweek during Alliance flights with Android

Do you lose alliance and progress midweek when you transfer your game to your new device by yourself on Android? I can't do any visits because of game crashing but have the same Google Play account on my newer phone .My Alliance is so close to level up that I don't want to risk losing what tasks I have. Should I wait till after we level up so we don;t lose a week's Alliance points.

In the past I have transferred a game from one device to another using google play, and didn't lose anything. I think you only lose neighbors & alliance if you transfer from 1 platform to another. Be sure you sync your game with google play before you transfer.

Similarly with iOS, if it’s the same device type it should work. Having said that, we’ve been around this game long enough to expect the unexpected .
