The fuel farm is rubbish!
Why do I get 3 units in 10 minutes for 10 coins (3 coins a unit) or 10 units for 80 coins in 1 hour (8 coins a unit), this drops to 15 units in 8 hours for 250 coins and worse is 20 units in 24hrs for 600 (30 coins a unit).

So fuel is more expensive and takes longer to get less per hour?!?

How does everybody get enough fuel?

At the moment I always select 1hr for the fuel and hope I remember to click it again.

I consider it a cost for the extra storage capacity rather than the extra production capacity.
I have used the 8 hour one once, but mostly the 1 hour one or if need the extra production the 10 minute one, if I have the time to keep looking every 10 minutes.

Totally down to your playing style...

Just like the buildings, Eatery is 60 coins/hr (but you have to make sure you click every 2 mins) VS Pharmacy is 19 coins/hr (need to click every hr)

So if you visit very often then bang/buck will be different compared to visiting once a day – some of the higher levels you will be flying 8hr flights... So will you really visit every 2mins..

Above is just an example - later stages the bigger fuel barrel seems to be a better option - what else are you going to spend you coins on once you have maxed you buildings!!!

Thanks, guess that some of the eatery and grocery stores will be going. Looks like the pharmacy is the best 1x1 square item to have. I've maxed out on car dealerships. I may be able to shuffle to get a few 2x2 blocks so maybe a few bowling alleys to go in.

I use the 8hr fuel for the night,
couple of hour before I go to sleep and it's ready for the mornning, when i need a lot of fuel for all the flights that lended when I sleep.

durring the day I use the 10m/1hr according to need

Looks like the iPad game is different, we don't have the festival camping, the bridal salon, the romantic cafe, the farmers market or the rock shop.
On the iPad game this is a breakdown of passengers and coins. It doesn't take into account the initial cost of the building.
To explain, a car dealership offers 36 coins every 20 mins, which is 0.01 of a day. It occupies 4 squares so the 107 cons a day is 27 coins per square per day. However you can't get 4 1 square properties on 4 squares as you need a road so you could double a single square property to be similar to a 4 square. confused? It also relies on you being there to collect coins/passengers as they become available (moorers tip above).

It also looks like the properties that need greenies to buy are more productive than those bought with coins.

It's very simple. The 8 and 24 hour options being poor are to prevent people who don't play very regularly from benefiting too much. We all seem to forget that everything is done to squeeze money out of us.
