Easier to play on android than windows

I play the game on windows tablet and my wife plays it on an android tablet. There are some unfair differences between our games.
Firstly, her visiting flights do not take passengers, in fact her visiting flights often bring passengers. On my windows I have give them passengers.
Secondly, every Friday the android players get a code for free 2000 coins and 3 airport dollars, I get no such thing on windows.
Does anyone know why the game is easier on Android?

That is GI policy since last year, i guess. The Weekend code was valid for iOS, android and amazon, but then GI decided to skip iOS 'due to Apple policy'. Who knows...
About passengers: with latest update for ios and android, GI changed that visiting flight do not take passengers or fule, but bring them/it. Nice new feature. But it seems it is not valid on Windows platform yet, but they will probably change that in future.
Every second week, they also have chance to buy coins or greenies for real money, and you can get 7x more coins then usual and 3 times more greenies then usual offer. It is true, that android users have advantage here, so they can benefit from weekend code.
But somehow GI solved this by some new buildings (Casino, Bank and another one, started about 2 weeks ago, do not know the exact name), so users on both platforms can get greenies. But meanwhile you need to earn gold and silver coins ( there is much informations on this forum) or even those you can buy for real money.
