Does anyone else find that the price of expanding land is pretty high and that it takes forever to save up enough coins to do it? I'm trying to do expansion 4 and its 50,000 coins. I've been saving for about a week now and am only at 15,000. Are flights pretty much the best way to earn coins fast? Any suggestions?

50.000 for a expansion is kinda cheap, wait till you need 800.000 to buy ur last coin expansion 
For the rest u need a good balance wih commercial and passenger buildings to expand fast. And as what helen said: use bonussystem to get more coins.

convertible coin is a bonus that for 3 hours gives you 3 X the coin value of your commercial building.
Business class is a bonus that for 6 hours doubles the value of coins and experiences from your flights but beware that for flights over six hours you need to wait until the flights are just under 6 hours to receive any reward otherwise the bonus will be wasted.
they are both collectible items just go through your orange chest icon to see what flights you need to complete the collections.
