Windows Download failed on opening game.

Just experienced the following

Version 8.26.14.0 Windows 10 Game installed from GI website, not Windows Store.

Version 8.26.14.0 Windows 10 Game installed from GI website, not Windows Store. On attempting to open game, after white background GI logo opening screen, game appears to want to download updates. Download appears to fail - see attached screenshot. Tried to "Retry" = same result. Shut down laptop - restarted OS - restarted game = same result.

You have now to contact Gi support they will fix it for you.
Dont try do anything other wise maybe it will be crashed.

This issue has popped up for many players according to Facebook. Hope they rectify it soon and give a smoother play by preventing this issues further on.

Probably their servers were overloaded - my game has now downloaded the fairly small update (not a fast as normal) and I'm back online.

I had the problem yesterday too. Has probably done, because today a small update was downloaded. Also think it was server issues.
