Coffee cup tab?

Has anyone figured out how to use it yet? Or is it a coming attraction? I love the heart/handshake for keeping track of gifts, but do wish we'd have another option for visits.
Does the alliance tab work? Not in one yet, but curious.

Coffee cup lists all your neighbors, but the active ones first, then the inactive. Just the opposite of the ZZZZ tab.

And yes, the alliance tab lists all your neighbors that are in your alliance.
