I have no idea how you guys are getting so many drops from clouds - I am constantly popping them and hit rate is so low on all reward types.

just set a low bar for it, don't expect too much. I've been playing this game for years and just been aware of this cloud thing few months ago. By that time I already had 20 Cloud Atlas collections. I guess they were accumulated accidentally when I was collecting golds. Just adopted the habit of tapping clouds recently, didn't count but I think the drop rate is 1/100.

Click on the clouds and complete the collection for the cloud castle, it gives a 5% passenger bonus over a 5 radius; great for your magic square

It’s so frustrating. I don’t know what I did to get the clouds to drop the collectible items. I don’t know if I waited until there were over a certain part of the city and the tapped on the cloud.

I guess the only way to complete the collection is to keep tapping clouds whenever they appear and hope they drop something, right? Nothing special needs to be done?

Spot on, thats all you do. Takes a lot of clicking, but you do get there. I am not far of my second one, although haven't got room for it!

You have to click on a stand of trees 3 times in quick succession. Very, very seldomly you will get a item for the "I've Sharpened My Ax" collection. You will get very few items this way, but you may get a repetitive stress injury lol. We have a special medal on the forum for those who achieve this collection 100 times to get the Paul Bunyan Statue. But most of us get the collections through our adventure building drops.
