Cloud options for photo storage

I have an iPhone and iPad and so am heavily tied in to the whole iOS universe, but using the iCloud for photo storage is less than ideal as I just want somewhere to securely store certain pictures, not every single picture on my camera roll (as there are a lot! Mostly repeats or unimportant).

Essentially I just want to upload key folders of photos, e.g. certain holidays, baby pictures, etc.

Unless somebody can offer a work around (or a link), I wondered what other cloud options you would recommend?

Also if there are any better forums to ask this question, please let me know! This is the only forum I’m a part of 😂

Have you tried google drive/drop box/Microsoft cloud?
I think all have apps you can download and use from your device - I have used all for transferring large files to others, but never for long term backups so I don’t know what the storage limits are.

I use Google Drive and Google Photos.

You get 15GB free with Google One (this limit is shared across all Google apps). I upgraded to 100GB for £15.99 a year
