Windows Clicks not very precise

I often try to click on an icon and while I'm sure I'm on the right one, another one opens. E.g. I want to collect money from a store and get the error for the neighbouring house that the terminal is full. Is there a way to know exactly where to click in Windows - or could the symbols on top of the buildings be made a bit smaller so that they don't snap the focus from where you really want to click? This would also be helpful when visiting the cities of neighbours where you only see suitcases and dollars in the lowest zoom.

In addition: Sometimes, it works to click on the runway to accept a landed plane and then to click a second time to load it. Sometimes, I need to click on the plane icon instead and clicking on the runway doesn't do anything. Did anyone else notice this and is there a known reason for this?

Yeah, uhm, it happens. It's probably a mechanism designed for mobile that tries to guess what you intended to click. When you touch with fat finger you won't notice or it'll actually help, but when you have pixel-sharp mouse pointer it's pretty obvious.
Dunno why clicking on runway sometimes doesn't work, had noticed that too. Perhaps 2 clicks are so close that the game recognizes it as one long click and starts the move timer, and then aborts it so all you get is "nothing happened".

I never click the icons of the landed planes anymore. I always use the runway and it works without a hiccup on Win, iOS and Android.
The clickable area expands a little beyond the icon. Even with pixel precision computer mouse clicking.
Try zooming in slightly, you'll never even miss a planetarium tap anymore! (y)

Just noticed it again and made a screenshot. I have clicked in the lower half of the $ symbol, right where the arrow points. I think that is definitely inside the icon I wanted to click on - but apparently, it realizes the building behind it that is hidden by the $ symbol.

That's because the passenger icon is in front of the coin icon. By now you must have figured that every icon has a radius of a couple of millimeter around it that is still considered the icon. Probably done for tapping purposes on smaller screens.
Just scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or whatever and I assure you your clicking woes will be over... (y)
