Casino Restart

I've had a Casino for a while which needed restarting every 30 days with 7 golds and 100 silvers. This was manageable with successful spaceship launches, rocket gardens and quests that need maps.

However since the last update I now need 75 golds and 600 silvers to restart the Casino! It seems like an unfair jump in requirements! Is the bank the same? Is it just after a certain time or if I were to buy another one, it would be back to 7/100?

No, GI has upped the requires for restarting the casino, bank and mint after the major update.

Casinos are now available for purchase for the price of 100 gold AND 800 silver tokens.

Looking at the price for tokens, you will need to weigh up how many greens you can harvest (3 greens/6 hours) and weigh that up against the cost of purchasing greens outright from the game store. But you do get to restart the process after 30 days for a lower cost and you do get the prestige of owning your own casino.

Offer on for 2 days and counting. Now down to 1d 20h as I type.

I wonder how long until the Bank & Mint buildings are offered for sale?

If you have tokens unused and are not going to purchase as S1 or S2 plane, you should probably buy a Casino. They also drop collectable items which payout random bonuses.

Cheaper than Bank and Mint (which I assume will be available in the coming weeks).

As I remember a new casino last year was 15 golden and some silver tokens. I already have a casino (and bank) so will wait for the Mint.
The Mint was 60 golden tokens last year, I wonder what it will cost this time..... 300 gold?

well if you have no gold or silver, therefore buying outright it is 59,99€ for 800 silver and 99,99€ for 200 gold ( no other offer) this is 160€ REAL money, in order to get 3 greens every 6 hours for 30 days therefore.... If NOT missing ONE harvest for 30 days, this is 12x30 = 360 greens restartable if launching like mad..360 is the number of greens you can buy during "sales" for 29.99€ so for 160€ you can have 5 times 360 greens : 1800 ( no restartable that is true) but at a tag price of 75/1000.....who cares

Long term and if you have some savings in gold and silver go for it, buying outright is not IMHO a good option

The Casino cost 10 gold and 200 silver. Restarting the cycle was 7 gold and 150 silver.

If you had no tokens in stock, then it is clearly a bad option.

But there are many players (in my neighbour list) who are level 50 but have small cities. This is because they have no way of earning greens. If they have been playing at L50 for a while they should have some store of tokens and this is the best use of tokens for a player who needs expansions which get very expensive.

Last year I blew my wad of token on 6 Casinos. I didn't know if they'd be offered again so I took the offer and racked up 2000 greens which took a year to spend. What I didn't know was that there would be a Bank and Mint offered, and no one knew that the buildings could be restarted for 75% the cost the same output.

Also, now you will have the option of warehousing the building if you don't want an idle building on your city (Warehousing of Casino not allowed) whereas last year there was a smaller maximum area and no way to expand or store buildings so I sold 5 of my 6.

Restart is 75 gold and 600 silver: 75% of the purchase price. Same as it was last year.

Actually, now that I think about it...

Last year there was a bug in the game with the Casino: The greens kept being produced after 30 days. The deal expired once you had collected 120 times (which is the theoretical maximum payout over 30 days) regardless of how long it took you.

Oh for the days of beneficial bugs!!

I'm one of them. I play on Facebook and once Level 55 there is no way of earning any green cash. I have been playing for half a year now every day for many hours. With hard work I made it to 23 gold and 779 silver.

You can do the math: The "easiest" way to earn 100 gold is to get > 33 gold chests by lunar missions. You can calculate the probability how many lunar flights you have to win until you earned 1 casino! It's quite ridiculous. By the way, in the meantime you will have 11 Rocket Gardens you cannot put anywhere because of lack of space. And then, once the casino offer will be back (in one year?) I can finally expand a bit, put my Rocket Gardens, and then same again to restart my casino to expand a little bit more?

From my opinion, all the new players will soon get stuck in the game, if there will be no other way of earning green cash or to expand the land. It would be sad if the game would be killed like that, because in general it is quite nicely balanced.

One gold and 6 silver per bronze chest. I have some Gold Chests from space collections, but completion of all 5 of the excavations collections also yields a Gold chest.

This is true. Completing all those 6 times will give 48 gold additionally + 6 buildings I cannot put anywhere
Anyway, I will go the hard way, because thats what the game is about, and try to achieve 1 - 2 casinos until June 2016.
And there is also some hope that the game designers will provide more balance again in the meantime. Maybe by new level 4 space missions or other new features, it will be easier to earn gold tokens.

Honestly, this does NOT make sense whatsoever. I am lucky I got 2 Casinos before, but at 100 GOLD tokens, this is just ridiculous if you are looking to buy more. Looking at it from a pure financial perspective, a Casino now costs 100 Gold tokens (and 800 Silver). The 800 silver is not really a problem as you can acquire them from space launches, but the 100 Gold tokens are. Of course one can get 100 gold tokens by playing the game, but if a player were to spend real money, s/he'd have to pay 99 Euros/Dollars for 200 Gold Tokens, so one has to spend 100 Euros for just having a building that produces 360 Greens at most (most likely less unless one doesn't sleep), which you can get for 29.99 at the discount. There are online multiplayer games that cost much less than that!

I will try and launch as many lunar missions as possible in the next few weeks to get a mint/bank, but I honestly pity the lower level players or the ones who did not get a chance to get a casino in the first place...

I bought another, might buy a third but need to open lots of chests and really will want a bank and mint I think but casino are probably best bet if you have none at all.

Lol, it took a LOT of time and playing to get the tokens I've been waiting to spend and I had them stolen once so I feel it's deserved, even at 10x the price they were originally. If I'd have know I could have bought 10 of each for what I've spent restarting one casino...
