iOS Can't visit any friends

Just now I tried to visit neighbours, and for all of them I received the message 'Server connection problem. Please try again later.' Deliberately I tried iPad and non iPad users, and received the same message. Having downloaded app updates successfully, the problem isn't at my end. I have send a notification to GI support. The only good news is that I was able to 'return to sender' some outstanding gifts.

Is anyone else experiencing this glitch?

It does look like GI has server problem at this time. I tried visiting neighbors but I get the server connection problem message as well. My launch pad2 is stuck and I hope it is because of this server problem. Arghh........

I've had an acknowledgment email from GI, one of those 'We'll look into it ones.', but no proper response yet.

I suspect that we will know that the server is back in working order when our Add subpage of Neighbours has four entries on it. Mine is currently empty.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to bring a server back online?

The above problems seems to have resolved on its own I can now launch rocket and yes ... also visit my neighbours...

Had a horrifying time locating my lander when it landed this morning. Looked for it everywhere but couldn't locate it. Then i realized something was wrong and tried visiting neighbour and got the 'Server error, try later on'

The server is only partially back to normal. About 2 hours ago I could visit some neighbours but not others - getting the same 'Server connection problem' message.
