I hope the prize will be something prestigious and one you cannot buy as a mystery super building. The collider prize for 'Back To School' is worthless to so many who already have 6+ of them.

But many new users do not have Collider, so for them will be quite interesting to get it (y)
Even i do not have it on my second game. :D

Which is why quests are no longer exciting for me. If the rewards can be bought, what's the point? It's like if you can't win a game, just buy the prize.

Besides, I don't really need more coin-producing buildings. I got too many of them in my warehouse.

The prize should still be something that is impossible to get from Duke, the store, or from regular quests or guest airplanes!
You're right. It always was that the reward was unique, and THEN, after very long time a new Mystery Super Building N was introduced to give chance to those who missed the event.
Now they're just recycling old rewards. The worst part is they won't recycle the planetarium...

I've never been a fan of being able to purchase reward buildings. There's a difference between spending time and using strategy to earn a reward building and having enough real money to buy from the Airship Store until you get the one you want.
In my humble opinion, GI should make past quests available annually only to those who did not earn the reward the last time.
I guess if I were rich I wouldn't have this opinion. But I'm not, so I do.
Cheers,
Tom

I got the collider building when I complete this event last year. THis year, I got a second collider building as soon as the event started, on my primary game. I have not gotten that far on my secondary games yet.

I am not a fan too, but when i was looking for more Planetariums, i bought about 70 buildings from Duke store (price was 19 greenies/each). Got 5 additional Planetariums, but also other buildings, since they are random. Have 9 Colliders and around 50 other unused houses in my warehouse. There should be a trade marked for that :D

Many people have asked us repeatedly to have a chance to get past special event rewards.
There's usually a very long time between event completion and a building being released as part of Mystery Super Buildings.
And some buildings from past events are neither part of those currently nor going to be in the future.

I can understand that some buildings may be one off event prizes but there are buildings which have been released that give those lucky enough to have them a huge advantage in the game.

Casino, bank, planetariums etc, these types of buildings which give rich rewards are those that I think should be available to all to make it fair. Yes I know that they can sometimes be available as special offers in the store but not all of us have endless amounts of greenies to be able to take a chance on a mystery super building offer.

OK - so I tell my kids when they say something is not fair. "Life is not fair", you need to learn that early. :joyful:
The planetarium event was offered when the red launch was introduced. It was a difficult event (3 days if my memory is correct) to upgrade the MCC, build a red tower and launch a flight. Anyone with more than one planetarium bought chances to open them from the Crock.

The casino, bank, and mint were never an event but a special purchase offer with gold and silver tokens. These have been offered several times. Only Ivan might know if these will ever be offered again but I would save up my gold and silver tokens in hopes that it would be repeated. I did not have enough tokens to buy them the 1st time around but I saved up and kept them on hand for the next time they were offered.

I don't have endless amounts of greenies or tokens but I save the ones I get for the things I think are most important. I don't spend them on broken planes or to speed up building construction. It's taken years to get my city where it is.

I purchased my first collider from Duke so it should never have been used for a prize again like it was for the back to school event.. If you had to recycle prizes, it should have been a building not available for purchase (like the evolution tower or atomium)

Has anyone noticed that the Bank, Casino and Mint all have collections? I am wondering if this is going to be an event of some kind.....
