Best way to join an Alliance?

Dear Ladies and Gents,

I was just wondering what is the best way to join an alliance.

I have requested to join about 35925 Alliances since I started the game, but have had to have any success. Is it pure luck, or bad luck, or am I doing something wrong?

What level are the alliance you are trying to join?
What is your current level?
When looking for an alliance have you specified in your posts how many passengers you can take per week and how many alliances task you can complete.
I had trouble at first so started my own and have been going ever since

Join one from a post here in the forum with the information mentioned in the previous post. If you do anything at all with non forum neighbors you'll just not advance your game or achieve your goals as fast as you want

Thanks for the pieces of advice; I found one in the end after applying to about 666 different Alliances!
