Best strategy for Thanksgiving Day event

Hi guys,

I started the Thanksgiving Day event and am up to level 10.
However, I see the needed points for advancing to the next level racking up quicker than previous events, which makes sense as we can now land planes to earn points.
I am trying to see if the event is worthwhile for me to complete level 20 and I already saw level 18 being like 4000 points, which seems like a LOT1

So, two questions;
- Does someone know what are the total amount of points (pelgrim hats) we have to accumulate to complete all levels?
- What's the best strategy for maximum points? (I have an idea, but looking for input)

Finally ... and this is a really important point ... you get placed in a league when you collect level 0 reward in the event progress. Why do it right away? If you do, you will be place in the league with the most competitive, gung-ho players that can't wait to get their currency and likely are fighting hard for first with bonuses, saved fuel to speed flights, etc.. Wait a day or two to collect level 0. If you're on basic class (like most people now since the have watered down premium so much it's no longer worth it), it's not like you're missing out on something that will help you complete the event sooner.

Its a good point I will do that on next event I’m now barely on 20th with 13800 points (+ 1650 🤫 ) and see how it goes

2. Use Lucky Tickets and grind grind grind grind grind (fly, landing guest planes, use Alarm Clock to keep visiting Pax buildings, visit your neighbors pax buildings)

How does alarm clock works? Is there a duration to it or is it one time only. If it is one time only and you have a few buildings, it is not worth it.

Wait until all your passengers are collected. Then activate the alarm clock and all passengers from all buildings will be available to collect again.

But that is a one time deal only without any duration to take advantage of the passengers. And I presume this is for your own buildings only. Neighbor buildings will not be affected. Perused through Capt Rollins guide and it stated that lucky ticket can be had for 4 greenies. I do not recall buying one but i have these in my inventories. Not used to using bonuses nor anticipating it as a reward so I do not know how this came about. Possibly having a place in the previous events?

The lucky ticket is almost always a prize from one of the event stages so you should have it from previous events. It lasts for 6 hours.

So if you are visiting, you neighbor buildings drop 3 hats. When the lucky ticket is active, your neighbor buildings drop 5 hats (3 + 50% is 4.5 so it rounds up).

The flight to Monrovia that normally drops 43 hats will drop 65 hats.

The multi-story building that normally drops 4 hats will drop 6 hats.

Now bring in the alarm clock. Imagine you just collected from all of your passenger buildings that drop hats. So they won't produce passengers for a while. Activate the alarm clock and they are all ready to collect again.

When I use the lucky ticket, I do it in the morning when all the planes are back. I activate the lucky ticket then collect the planes, then collect from the buildings that drop hats. Lots of drops. Then send out the planes and your terminal starts to empty so once your planes are all sent, use the alarm clock to wake up your passenger buildings again and collect only from the ones that drop hats. Then visit while the lucky ticket is active to collect extra hats from your neighbors.

There is another bonus I like to use during events too - the Friend in Need bonus. It allows you to tap double the number of buildings when you visit. Instead of tapping 5, you can tap 10 (plus 1 video so 11). And if you do this with the lucky ticket running, it's 660 tickets just from visiting. It's actually better if your lucky ticket spans reset time because you can do this right before and right after reset and get 1320 tickets

OK. Thanks for the info. When you say reset, you are activating another ticket before the previous one expires. Or is this the game reset time? Sorry for the queries - am a noob when it comes to using bonuses. I just play it casually and get the most of what the app provides without the use of the bonuses. This has brought me a handful of bonuses that I do not know how to use and stay in my inventory. Once these reaches 100. am afarid I will be forced to use them else they become useless.

@Hyperion1722 I mean reset time. It's at an unfortunate time of day for me - 7pm at night. I would prefer it was at 8 or 9 in the morning because I could make better use of bonuses.

And it's okay to ask questions. We're here to help.

Once you reach 100 on any item, you can't collect any more in the warehouse. But there is a (non-cheating) way around this for some bonuses. Some bonuses can also be obtained from collections. If you look in collections for Stewardess' Belongings, you will see the reward is a Business Class bonus. Figures and Figurines is another one - the bonus is Vintage Weathervane. You don't have to open collections immediately. You can save them for later. It was a game changer for me when I learned this. I think it was @Harcourt or @Teboho that I learned this from.

So you can have 100 in the warehouse but still have lots and lots of collections that are unopened to use when you need them.

OK. Thanks. Quite a complex game but I like its dynamism. Only problem is GI's updates are lackadaisical and prone to errors and bugs. Regarding the erroneous greenie that you receive, that was hell of a bonus! That was 33 years worth of weekly greenie bonus... Yeyy!!! My problem right now is that my android device is now long in the tooth and starts to chug from this app. Got a Huawei Matepad 2020 but do not know how to transfer my account since the company is banned from using google play services. Just do not know if this transfer (plus any update) is possible or if Huawei's own store is supported by GI. Sent a query and hoping that support could give me a definite advice on the transfer.

As for my greenie bonus, that was a long time ago. The game was prone to errors and bugs back then too. And I was making a purchase of 300 greenies. But of course, they fixed that bug
