Step 5: Build a Level 2 Baggage Hall -- takes 20,000 coins and 24 hours or one greenie. Requires three each Copy Machines, Computers, Ergonomic Chairs, Smoke Detectors. It speeds up maintenance of guest planes by 40%.
The Baggage Hall Quest is now over. To upgrade your Baggage Hall further:
Step 1: Build a Level 3 Baggage Hall -- takes 45,000 coins and two days or two greenies. Requires four each Shredders, Projectors, Calculators and Smoke Detectors. It speeds up maintenance of guest planes by 50%.
Step 2: Build a Level 4 Baggage Hall -- takes 120,000 coins and six days or four greenies. Requires four each Archive Boxes, Whiteboards, (Grey) Transmitters, Server Racks. It speeds up maintenance of guest planes by 60%.

The BIG question, of course, is whether or not the Baggage Hall is worth the trouble. In my opinion, speeding up the maintenance of guest planes is about as useful as the Duty Free Shop: not very. Unless you're a completist (as I am) ... why bother.

Very strange!!! This thread prompted me to look for the update in the app store and i found one. Usually, AC opens up a window in the game to notify you , that there is a new version availlable for download. Thanks Tom for the heads up!!! greensmith

This is strange. I fully upgraded my baggage hall without completing step 2 Tom greensmith. I now have to "accept guest planes until you find a strange box". Did you not get this? Step 2 of visit the excavation hasn't appeared for me.

Yes, it can go on the airport side. I didn't try it on the city side because ... wait for it ... there's no room.

Also very strange i have never had a guest plane break down, does it speed up the return flight or is there something waiting we don't know about like not being able to land guest planes until we fix the broken one?

Unless GI is planning on having guest planes break down and need repair in the future ... which I wouldn't put past them ... all the Baggage Hall does is speed up the time between landing and take-off. Like I said in my initial post, I'm not sure all this effort is really worth it.

I rarely land guest planes unless they are part of a quest.

The new update is available in the playstore to android users. I bought the baggage thingy even though everyone at the moment thinks it is a rubbish building. It might just become useful later or be a white elephant like the duty free shop. Who knows...

PS: I won't be upgrading the baggage hall higher then level 2. In my opinion/experience I think they just want us to waste coins before the big building upgrades come.

I agree with your PS.
It looks bigger update will come soon, all Level 9 buildings, for probably huge amount of money.
Or - i hope not - only for greenies or tokens...

But, as we all need MOST, is 1) LAND EXPANSION and 2) HANGAR STORAGE for at least 6-8 planes. I remember a picture from facebook game of AC, and there was Hangar storage, but i do not remember if it was mentioned for how many planes.
Plus remember a user, that his AC area (city side) was about double or even more as we can have max now... Doh, GI...

Guest planes have been dropping items for me from the 'ancient reptile' collection but none have broken down so far. What happens if you don't upgrade to level 4 and one of the higher level guest planes breaks down. Does anyone know?

Hi guys, allow this newbee to this forum to say something about this.
Last year I started playing airport city on my laptop via facebook. That version doesn't really work (long story), but it did have this baggage hall phenomenon. It was about as useful as the duty free shop, or actually even less. I guess the developers are simply taking some "features" from other versions of the game and put it in the android and IOS games. However, a good feature in this facebook game was, amazingly, wait for it... a reserve hangar !! For as little as 60.000 coins you could get yrself a reserve hangar (level 3) for 10 planes enabling you to put planes in storage that you don't need for the moment. Now there's a feature that they should transfer to our environment...
