twisteduk - I think you'll find if an item is not on your own gifting list, you can't actually return it. Based on information in other threads, your neighbors will probably get a Snowball or something similar when you return an Old Lantern.

10 sleighs and 5 skating rinks.. which i cannot build because i do not have the items to build them because i cannot fly to the 5 continents because i do not have the needed gifts because i cannot fly to lapland because im not getting stardust from the elves.

I am still lacking an Artificial Ice from Africa to complete the Skating Rink!!!
This is despite buying 2 Santa's Chests and vapourizing so many Old Lanterns gifted by my neighbours.
Used Spy Glass & Dice too to enhance drop rates, but no Artificial ice!!
Already completed the Cold Winter collection, but did not collect it due to warnings that flights will disappear.
But maybe my patience will disappear first!!

I have just completed my first 100 trips delivering gifts. I flew 20 of each (Africa, Eurasia, N America, S America, Australia). From this I received the following:
11 Oranaments (2 Africa, 3 Australia, 0 Eurasia, 1 N America, 5 S America)
8 Building Items (3 Snowmaker, 2 Freezer, 2 Liquid Nitrogen, 1 Artificial Ice)
So the drop rate overall is about 1 in 5. The difficulty comes in completing the buildings. You need a total of 20 items to build the four buildings:
Ice Castle needs 1x Liquid Nitrogen,1x Freezer, 2x Snowmaker, 1x Artificial Ice
Ice Sculpture Park needs 2x Liquid Nitrogen, 1x Freezer, 1x Refrigerator, 1x Artificial Ice
Skating Rink needs 1x Freezer, 1x Snowmaker, 1x Refrigerator, 2x Artificial Ice
Igloo needs 1x Liquid Nitrogen, 1x Freezer, 1x Snowmaker, 2x Refrigerator
This will mostly likely take at least 200 flights to accomplish. The poor drop rates of the star dust and gifts has already been discussed, so getting the 200 necessary is rather difficult without spending greens. I personally grabbed a few packs of the 20 star dust/20 old lanterns when they were on sale. Without that, I don't know how good my chances would have been of getting all of the building items.

it's the freezer that i dont have yet for the skating rink.. also completed the cold winter collection but not yet collecting.. my gift shops were useless for two days.. i still that this wont be the first mission i would fail at and stars that i wouldnt complete.. :-(

Yes it's a terrible challenge mainly because of the drop rates and the greens required to complete it - 8 greens for one item? HAHAHAHAAHHAH x 100,000,000,000. Remember the days when it was 1 green per item to complete buildings? However I used a Spy Glass today and the first drop let me finish the igloo/santa's house collection so that alone made it worth it. Hope I can finish the buildings though!

i think i noticed this as well before.. but it increased in the next days.. at first it started at 5 visits then after a few days it was 6, then 7 and so on.. kind of annoying actually.. at level 8, it's been 11 visits from day 1..

Ok, today i was able to visit 6 neighbours. Maybe it will increase in next days, so hope i can visit 9-10 / day.
6x5 = 30 chances --> Got 11 Old Lanterns --> From those lanterns got 4 Star Dust + 1 Wooden Sleight + 1 Helicopter Blades + 1 Sock with Gifts + 1 Ch.Cap. Not so bad this time.
