Hi folks - a few times members have shared their playing philosophy in here, and it has always amazed me that we are all so different, and yet it works. Well, I thought I would give a bit of an insight. There are a few things on AC to look out for - one is any chance to get planetariums - and I have not managed that, another is the rare opportunity to buy Casino/Bank/mint style buildings. As far I know, in the almost 6 years I have been both playing and in the forum, they have only been on sale twice, and you need gold tokens to get them - so TIP, save those tokens for another sale of some kind one day (we can live in hope!). I missed the first one, but got a bank on the second for, I think, 250 gold tokens. It got me 4 greenies every 3 hours for 6 weeks, and you can reactivate it for 150 gold tokens for another 6 weeks worth at any time. Well that's what I did over Christmas, and have just bought 7 land expansions. Mine are currently 100 greenies, 50 in the sale, and I am sure they must be about to go up.

However, this means I have tidied up my AC. Now my philosophy, and one of the great pleasures of the game is that I have designed the city so that I could live in it - I have my residentials together, commercial together, a science zone, shopping zone, sports zone etc. Not for me bizarre bits of road and buildings crammed in wherever. My best bit at the moment is my "west end" where I have my theatres and night clubs all together all around a food court that reminds me of London's Covent Garden. The only thing that would stop me moving here is the space launches at all hours - so noisy!

Well, I just cram everything into the space I have. Land expansion, on sale, is now 90 greenies.

Just for the record, a Bank costs 200 gold and 2000 silver tokens.

A gentle reminder to make sure you get into the habit of backing-up your game and taking screenshots when ever there are any changes to your game site, no matter how small. This is something I do once a day.

I have to agree. New problem I need to be aware of - Crsnt1 and Crsnt2 were both on day 7 of weatherstation flights. After reset last night, they both reverted to day 1. This is the 2nd time this has happened in the last 2 weeks. So I will be taking screenshots from now when each flight is completed and the checkmark is showing.
