Hey everyone,
with Christmas around the corner I thought it might be a good time to wrap up 2015 and share some of our plans for next year. Although several ambitious goals we set in 2014 like Mission to Mars didn’t happen this year for a variety of reasons, there are quite a few things that we did and we hope you’ve liked them:
What’s next:
As always, if you encounter a problem, don’t hesitate to drop a line to Game Insight’s support team, and we’ll do our best to help you. Also, subscribe to our official communities for Facebook and Mobile versions, we’ll be having some fun Christmas сontests there soon with Airport Cash rewards.
On behalf of the whole Airport City team I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Cheers,
Ivan.
with Christmas around the corner I thought it might be a good time to wrap up 2015 and share some of our plans for next year. Although several ambitious goals we set in 2014 like Mission to Mars didn’t happen this year for a variety of reasons, there are quite a few things that we did and we hope you’ve liked them:
- Level cap increased from level 50 to level 60
- Supersonic Falcon plane along with the flights, collections, and buildings specific to its operation and use
- Apogee Mission expansion pack similar to those previously released for Prometheus and Lunar Missions
- Airline Alliance competition which grants you access to unique collections and black planes that are currently the fastest planes in the game and can’t be obtained any other way
- Occasional landing of guest planes now has a lot more purpose besides providing free passengers and fuel, as you can obtain a special collection and building specific to every type of guest plane
- New bonuses available as part of Mystery Super Bonus that boost your production buildings, neighbor activity actions, duration of flights using the flight maps, fuel catalyst use, or experience gain
- Ability to put unused buildings into storage
- Reserve Hangar for planes you don’t need at the moment
- Some buildings now provide bonuses to buildings nearby in a certain area which encourages you to place your buildings strategically: build a park or a metro station to boost your residential buildings’ output of passengers, or put a well-known landmark in the center of your commercial district
- Increase of available land expansions from 72 to 160
- Additional slots available in several production buildings: if you fully upgrade one, you might not have a need to build another five
- Several existing buildings have got an updated high-definition look
- New special event reward buildings like Tree of Life, Chocolate Factory, and Chrysler Building
- Updated UI
What’s next:
- Windows players will get a long-awaited update before Christmas with all the latest cool stuff: Airline Alliances, the Theory of Everything space expansion pack, new Falcon destinations, Reserve Hangar
- We’ll be having special events running everywhere one after another for a few months; first one is Santa’s Bad Day, of course; later on those will be both your favourites from previous years and completely new ones like A Walk in the Clouds that’s coming in February
- Airline Alliances will make it from Mobile to Facebook
- Oil Refinery and Daily Missions will make it from Facebook to Mobile
- Early next year we’ll work extensively on re-writing game architecture; Android, iPad, iPhone, and Windows versions will be fully compatible between each other in terms of neighbor visiting, gifts, space launches; also, we hope to significantly improve game’s perfomance on weaker devices thanks to those tweaks
- We’ll bring the recently released Roaring Twenties adventure from Facebook to Mobile, as every city deserves to have its own Empire State Building
- New adventures to explore ancient civilizations; here, take a sneak peek at Tower of Babel that will be among them - every building usually goes through many stages from concept art (this one was done for us by Pieter Bruegel the Elder a few centuries ago) to its final look
- Introducing business jets to Airport City with Thunderbird plane
- More exotic cities to visit around the globe; Jakarta, Baghdad, Damascus, and Boston to name a few
- Mission to Mars is still on our minds and in our hearts
