Hello All

Need some advice

Im level 31 and as i progress and get 3 stars in all the flights a turboprop can fly to - is there any reason to keep a turboprop aircraft? or even a Jet when all destinations are all maxed at 3 stars?

i have been purposely keeping 3 turboprops and flying all the missions to 3 stars before buying my delta or jumbo. is this a good idea?

thanks in advance

Hanger 2 - Jet
Hanger 3 - Delta
Hanger 4 - Powerful delta
Hanger 5-7 - Jumbo?

Hard to say. It depends because if you need flight drops, you want lots of planes flying to that destination especially if it has a time limit. Also, some flight destinations drop items more than others and you never know which ones do.

If you are not participating in current quests, you can just have planes for destinations that you are aiming to 3-star, example: Jumbo destinations = all jumbo planes.

If you are participating in Land of Opportunity quest right now, you need all kinds of planes (except the two smallest ones) because you will have to fly to Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston.

Everyone here has a different strategy.:)

I maxed also all the stars for tuboporps and jets, so I sold all of them. I will only buy if the mission depend on them. Depend i mean: a new destination or an items that can only be obtained flying with them.
The droprate of the bigger planes is better.
Think about, because u need a lot of money, if u want to change ur fleet back to jumbos and powerful deltas.
It could be like the facebook version, where there is a reserve hangar where u can place planes to be used in the future.

Try the stategy that fits your goal. ;)

so even for this current quest, you didn't go back and re-purchase smaller planes because the drop rate is higher with bigger planes anyway?

Obviously the end game is questing - so stars aside, i wasnt sure if u should keep 1 or each plane in case i needed for a quest or just sell them as i finish stars and re-purchase later if absolutely needed (cuz selling a jumbo will kinda stink)

No I didn´t, the droprate with deltas, powerful delta and jumbo is almost one bill every 2 flights. ;)
It is also helping me with the stars because I didn´t have any on New York, Chicago and Houston.

I´m doing also because i´m saving money for the lvl7 upgrades, and I know that after the mission i will have to buy the planes again.

In general, Turboprops & Jets are easily replaced because they are relatively cheap. So sell some of them if you need to fly more Delta / Powerful Delta / Jumbo routes.

Do not delay buying the bigger planes. Drops rates on longer flights are "better" and Jumbos & Powerful Deltas (8hr - 8hr 40 min routes) are ideal for late night flights that arrive later in the morning, so that you do not have to struggle with 8 planes in the hangar when you wake up. Note: before upgrading your plane, make sure you have upgraded your Runway & Repair Base to avoid long delays that forces you to spend greens & real money.

However, there will always be new quest / destinations which require Propellers, Turboprops & Jets. Hence, it would be more economic to keep one type of plane each. It is much more painful to sell Jumbos and replace them with Turboprops (unless you have lots of coins).

Recently, it was discovered that bigger planes placed in lower level hangars now load slowly. Previously, as long as you have a high level hangar, all planes load as fast, irregardless whether they are placed in low or high level hangars. So, you should now place higher level planes in higher level hangars to avoid slow loading times.

Do not forget you will need Turboprops and Jets for the Aztec Pyramid missions.
Another thing to consider, Cape Canaveral, Balkinor, North Observatory - all give items for Space Launches, some of which cannot be dropped from neighbours or your own buildings.
It is up to your style of play. If you only log into the game infrequently then go for the larger planes, if your city can support the passenger demands. For more frequently playing then at least 1 Turboprop, 1 Jet will do.
Personally with the 3 special building missions I have not had a mixed fleet since the start of the UFO Quest. I used to have 1 Turboprop, 1 Jet, 2 Deltas, 1 Powerful Delta and 3 Jumbos - I would try to fly to every Turboprop destination daily, 5 Jet destinations daily, 1 Delta dedicated to Nice/South Observatory with the other slowly working my way down the destinations that gave flight items, 1 Powerful Delta working on flight items and the 3 Jumbos earning stars. I have not gotten many Jumbo 3 stars, unless part of quest, and still need the third star for South Obsevatory.

Build a lot of business buildings especially eateries, grocery shops and car dealership. They put out a lot of coins per hour compared to other buildings. I have 8 powerful deltas and 1 jumbo right now because I am flying to star the Stonehenge destinations. If I am not flying to those destinations, I am flying to star usual powerful delta destinations like Chicago, etc. I don't buy and sell planes that often. For now, I am keeping my current fleet till I get all the stars for their destinations unless (!) a new timed quest comes along and needed some smaller planes. After that, I'd fly for the Greek Temple.

I have over 2m in coins and have not been below 1.5m since I did the Level 7 upgrades to the Control Tower and Terminal.
I have not built commercial buildings in a long time, unless they are reward buildings from quests or missions.
You just get to the stage where coins do not matter however I do not swap fleets around all the time unless there is a reason eg. quests or missions.

Many of old-timers of the game has got millions of coins when there were loopholes that could be exploited in the game.
Ah so I am not an old timer.:) I got my coins the hard way by lots of tapping, I remember when I would try to get 25k a day to buy up land but stopped after the 500k mark per block. Instead I bought Airport Cash during the 300% sales.
Then I joined this forum, but I missed that "Inconvertible Coin" bug and read all the warnings about Time travel to never want to try it.
I have accumalted many coin generating bonuses, eg Business Class, the IC but never really bothered to use them as after I upgraded to Level 6 and could not buy land with coins anymore they just started to accumulate over the months as there was little to spend the coins on, I also have over 100 greens but who knows when I may need them for?
Now these large airport cities my guess either via purchase, Facebook loophole or adjusting their files through a rooted device.

Blackcloud, my apologies.
Kudos to those who collected millions of coins the hard way (y).

No need you made me feel better when you inadvertenly excluded me as an old timer:happy: Unfortunately I think I am one of the :oldman: of this forum as some of the original handles here have :dead: even though the acutal people are still alive.
