when i first started playing i 'didn't get' the visiting neighbors thing... i would go on a visit and click on 5 random buildings... then i saw the post about looking for neighbors with planetariums, and so began my space quests...

i see Chloe's post about using planetariums for gathering items for high dollar collections, but if someone is not interested in space, what should they be clicking on in their neighbors cities?
IF your goal is gathering coins fast, and even if you aren't interested in space right away, the planetariums are the best shot at 2000 coin collections when visiting neighbours.

When you start getting near 100 launch ready kits, open them up - even if you aren't ready for space. By doing this, you will start building up your fuel (there are 8 items the launch ready kits can drop so it will be a long time before you hit your 100 max on the fuel items).

Of course, sometimes you'll want/need to tap on other things to complete missions and perhaps you'll want fuel quickly to speed up flights so tapping on stands is a quick way to pick up fuel units.

Also, HUGE CUDOS to the gang that started this forum and to Captain WH Rollins for the AC Guides, and to everyone contributing the WIKI.... i feel sorry for those that aren't aware of this place, because this game is too complicated to play without the kind of help we find here
That would be @Dave and the people he has recruited to help https://www.airportcitygame.com/members/?key=staff_members. But this doesn't list everyone.

The game can not be played in isolation, good neighbour, this I learned when I stumbled across the members forum, 1 year after I had started playing the game - signed up in September 2015.

Thank you very much for the kind words. Although the game has advanced alot since I first started playing back in 2012, that is the very reason why I created the forum. There was no place really to go and find other players to swap gifts with to complete buildings or quests.

I also used to think that I got the number of coins that the building produced for that player, so I set out to find the highest number of coins, but BOY was I wrong!

Now there’s a question...
Honestly I don’t know. I think launches are so intertwined with progress in the game, that you can’t really ignore them. I would probably say if you aren’t launching, visits are nearly pointless. Even if you don’t launch currently, the drop rates are pretty good from neighbour clicks which helps with coins, and eventually the items are there for when you do want them.

To discover this game and start playing it, I think I was earlier than you, probably in 2013? It may be the original version of the game, but I didn't know how to update the game at that time. . . . . .
The image of the car dealership I know has been updated at least twice so far. At that time, the game was not so generous, and the coin 10W land expansion ended. . . Probably just barely enough to fly a falcon
At that time, we only played mobile phones or tablet games as leisure games and only played PC games.
