RIP Airport city game.
Excellent example of a divided society a dictator (GI) is implementing something, what makes the life of part of the society "bad", then let the life just go for a while and after some time the "discriminated" part of the society begins requesting the "bad" to be applied to everyone. I have lived with this until 30 years ago (it was called Communism indeed); knowing however the country of origin of GI it looks like they keep using this practice until the current day.I'm not kidding by the way on my first remark: Looking forward to a lot of "balancing tweaks" once the users without the limit stop messing with statistics, making it clear that some of the tasks / challenges are way too difficult for 'us normies'.
Maybe for you, but during the times I was getting Adventure maps, it took me forever to get the first 25 maps for the Louvre collection....more than a year. The most difficult map was always the last needed map to complete the set. Alliance maps and space maps are the same thing. The major difference is that I gathered my current stash of space maps when I wasn't map hunting, which took many months. When youre actively hunting those maps, they are very elusive....at least in my gameI am looking forward to a lot of "balancing tweaks" (for the better) now that the 100-limit is being enforced to everyone, but drops from excavation maps are not one of them. In fact, they are amongst the easiest to acquire. I have dozens unused maps in my warehouse as we speak, without putting much effort (or any) to acquire them. Fly a few excavation maps over night (for the turbo's and jet's) or use your excavation maps at other strategic times (for planes which typically take longer than to complete than an excavation run), and you'll have plenty of maps in no time

OHH REALLY! So two months ago you posted about how you don't buy greenies anymore because of the 100 limit. You look like a hypocrite.I neither have nor visit my neighbours Planetariums Yet I manage to do red launches no problem.
Having lived with and being used to the 100 limit from day one I feel all the veteran players are just issuing idle threats about quitting. They will get used to it as I doubt they could go one single day without their Airport City fix.
The new update looks and sounds amazing, I can't wait to play it.
This is how I am feeling. When Ivan replied to me that it will make the game inconvenient, it became completely obvious that this decision is made to hurt the customer and make the game harder. To tell a customer that their game play will become INCONVENIENT by an update they are claiming to be an improvement just shows they are aware of what it will do to their customer and don't care.I will play until the update then I'm out. I see no reason to play with the 100 item limit.
All it does is make a simple game harder and more labor intensive. Not to mention forces the increase use of greenies to do things.
Nope. Not going to happen. Not getting another quid out of me.
You couldn't leave the basic game play alone.
It's just that I don't like the negative vibe that is controlling the atmosphere on this forum for a while now. Can't blame me for trying to find something positive out of a situation I have no control over, and which is coming nonetheless, right
I don't know what you've got against me and why you label me a hypocrite.OHH REALLY! So two months ago you posted about how you don't buy greenies anymore because of the 100 limit. You look like a hypocrite.
So lets see your airport... what kind of planes are you flying, how long have you been playing, how much money have you put into the game?
You are upset that the game isn't fair....it's NEVER going to be fair. EVER!
When I began this game 4 years ago, it wasn't fair but I didn't demand they take away buildings from veteran players because they had more than me. Fairness has been an issue for a long time and imposing a 100 limit on everyone is NEVER going to change the gap between players. There are people with 10 of each building, there are also people from the Russian merged server that had no limit on building and have an unknown amount. There are so many aspects of the game that were offered in the early years of the game that benefit the user but Ivan has stated will never be offered again (ex: Casino, Bank, Mint)
So basically your comment is saying, "well it's hard for me so it should be hard for everyone." We all disapproved of the limit that was applied to new players and tried to fight against it when it was first implemented. Many of us have never stopped fighting and I will be ENDLESSLY DISAPPOINTED with Gi if they go through with the 100 limit.
It is a decision that ONLY HURTS the customer.
No benefit, just makes the game hard. Oh and inconvenient, to use Ivan's words.
Cause ya know, we all love playing games that are INCONVENIENT!!!
Wrong! Speak up against this horrible limit before it is too late! With the anniversary of D-Day, it should have been a huge reminder that if you don't fight for what is wrong, the bad just spreads. It takes real courage to stand up and call out the BS.It's just that I don't like the negative vibe that is controlling the atmosphere on this forum for a while now. Can't blame me for trying to find something positive out of a situation I have no control over, and which is coming nonetheless, right
I explained exactly why I called you a hypocrite. If you don't like being called that, don't be one. You say veteran players are making idle threats, that is your assumption. Also, read my comment again without ASSUMING anger... cause it seems you might be reading into things.I don't know what you've got against me and why you label me a hypocrite.
Originally spent 20gbp which went towards buying land and a Tesla. Been playing for about 16/17 months. Level 80, 437 stars and currently saving up the 900k coins required to buy my first Thunderbird plane.
Stop assuming things I never said it was hard for me as I am aware it is a game of patience.
I think your anger should be more directed towards G.I.
You are right about it, but the decision was taken long time ago and Ivan was just polite to inform us all about it before it happens. We, the people on forum are just very small percentage from all the players and I just face the truth. I have the 100 limit, but I will always be against it because of my buddies who don't have it. But it's doneWrong! Speak up against this horrible limit before it is too late! You calling me a hypocrite still doesn't make sense as I don't buy greenies Anymore. Idle threats to get G.I. to reverse the 100 limit.I explained exactly why I called you a hypocrite. If you are not even to a Thunderbird, I see why you are able to cope with the 100 limit. But at 18 months into the game, I was exponentially further along than you because the 100 limit did not exist. I really feel sorry for those of you that have been chained down by Gi's terrible decisions. Btw, thunderbird is a pretty crappy plane (long flight time, low passengers, collections really aren't worth it). I'd suggest another Falcon..only 500K, better flight time, double the passengers and MUCH better collections.
Another question for Free2Play If we are part of the beta will we still be able to interact (gifts, helping neighbors) with people not in the beta and will those not in the beta be able to interact with the airports of those in the beta? How will all that work in terms of those not in the beta viewing those in the Beta's airports ?
Well, if any of the newer players are okay with inventory limit (or maybe even welcome the same game rules for eveyone), they'll certainly not be posting their opinion here, because anyone who does immediately gets trashed by the members of the 'friendly community' and is considered a traitor at best.
And every time someone threatens to quit the game, a part of me dies... Well, not really. Look at the posts on this forum 6 or 7 years ago, they're maybe five people still around from those times, @Dave included. Game changes, people change, people get bored with games, thousands join and quit on the daily basis (and some players come back years later if the game is still around), it's not the end of the world for any party involved. There's really no need to be so dramatic about it, but that's just my opinion.
Beta is going to be a standalone application for those who want try out new things and provide us with their opinions about what they like and what they don't, what could be improved. No profile transfer from the main game to the beta, or vice versa; no interaction between beta and main game of any kind.
Respectfully, if the goal is a fair, balanced game with the same rules for everyone, please explain how this is possible when all players don’t have access to CBMs or the ability to build more than 6 of any building.Well, if any of the newer players are okay with inventory limit (or maybe even welcome the same game rules for eveyone), they'll certainly not be posting their opinion here, because anyone who does immediately gets trashed by the members of the 'friendly community' and is considered a traitor at best.
