The China government blocks Google, Facebook, Whatsapp among other websites and apps. I think "Google Play Games" connection may be the reason that the AC game can no longer connect. Back in 2012, I could play Airport City while I was in Beijing / Tianjin (but I could not log into AC facebook...

There was a time that I waited for up to a week before updating, just to make sure there are no major bugs in the update. The last few updates however have been pretty smooth sailing, so I would also like to give a "thumbs up" to the developers!

AC ver 6.11.18 on iPad is a 321 MB update. AC ver 6.11.16 on Android is 15 mb update (if you have the previous version installed). Downloaded Android update... I'll have to wait till I get home to update my iPad so that I don't blow my mobile quota. I guess this is just one aspect that Android...

Very nice behind the scene pics! It is unfortunate we do not fully appreciate the beauty of the buildings in Airport City, because of our small phone / tablet screens. I especially like the intricate design of the Luna Park, kudos to the designer!

I do agree that the events in Airport City is rather US-centric (Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Halloween to name a few). Some diversity would be welcome, after all we travel around the world everyday!!

I think GI should give us assurance that they are seriously going to tackle this issue and have a timeline on when this issue will be resolved.
