i think GI has figured out this little time trick. you cant add neighbours when you move the date/time, it popped up a message saying 'time-traveller can't interact with neigbours'

same place you enter new friend code: click 3-people icon, click again 3-people icon, click friend codes tab, enter dave's code in the blank field

don't put buildings which you frequently collect your coins & passengers near buildings you don't want to upgrade (e.g. town hall) it will reduce the chance of mistakenly upgrading them wasting your $$. It happens quite frequently to me.
