I was playing the event yesterday before 6am local my time. This thread was started more than 10 hours after that. I am willing to bet that the player was playing for more than 2 hours. Just because the Wiki says that this event is an 11 day event doesn't mean that G! pushes the event start...

I don't know why someone (most players) would want to, but you can instantly refresh the tasks with airport cash. The amount of airport cash used to reset that many tasks would not be regained by completing the league in first place. However, with the correct buildings the airport cash wouldn't...
