I had the same thing initially. First followed the link through my (default) Firefox browser (completely add-blocked/firewalled/... etc.etc. in short very secure). I got the same message. I then copied the link to a more open, not so secure Chrome browser and there it worked. Allthough I must...

Close the game and restart it. That helped for me (on iPad).

@ItsRalphy If the task is to manually speed up a flight you have to use the "yoke" button (underneath the "regular"speed up options) and finish the minigame. I don't think the other options count as "manual speed up".
