I think the number of maps do need an increase in alliance rewards as currently low alliances only get 1 map (if they are lucky), with a continued increase in destinations it could take a full year to get all maps (providing you don't get a 2nd of the same map), so a few more maps would be good...

True, but I do still like to have a city like layout, so it is not anywhere near as economical with space as it could be. I there are 2 ways people layout there city, space optimisation and kinda lifelike. I go for the latter but power needs spoil it a little ;)

All maps are 3 hours. You can click on alliance flight tab to see what plane and items are needed for each destination. As for keeping track, when you open a map chest click on the map and it tells you what one(s) you've got.

For me I use a lot of Solar plants (4000 coins) as I can use them in between road pieces. As for teslas, wait until land is 30 greens half price and buy them instead of land as 1 of them is better than buying land and putting 4 coal plants.
