It's both aesthetics and gameplay changes, but core gameplay we have now is something very dear to me, so we try to handle it carefully and don't change too many things at once.

Well, some clouds not being tappable is a known bug. A rather minor one in a grand scheme of things, so its fix is being pushed from one update to another in favor of fixing more important ones first. It'll be fixed eventually.

There's indeed a bug with auto collect buildings for romantic passengers in the background. We didn't notice it before release, unfortunately, hopefully the fix will be ready in time for the second romantic special event.
